The "Stand Tall Vietnam” Milk Fund 2014 has just donated more than 72,000 glasses of milk for children from families of war invalids and martyrs in Quang Tri province. This is the third stop on this year's journey of the fund

The granting event was held at the office of the People's Committee - Quang Tri Province with the participation of nearly 800 pupils. Being known as the fierce battlefield of the two resistance wars, Quang Tri is also home of many heroes and celebrities. As most affected by the wars, Quang Tri has now had high rate of underweight and stunting children, especially in the mountainous districts resided by ethnic minorities.

The place therefore was selected by the Milk Fund 2014 as one of the stops on its journey to help children from families of war invalids and martyrs as well as to express the gratitude for those who sacrificed their lives for our motherland and its people.

Ms. Bui Thi Huong, the Public Relations Director of Vinamilk, presents the milk fund for representative of Quang Tri province.

Two comedy actors, Mr.Tu Long and Mr.Xuan Bac, participate in the program as goodwill ambassadors of the Milk Fund.

Their comedy performances and knowledge quizzes bring cheery and joyful laughters to the children.

In 2014, the "Stand Tall Vietnam" Milk Fund grants an amount of milk equivalent to VND 8 billion (a 33% increase in value compared to that of 2013) to disadvantaged children. This will be directly granted to the children in the orphanages and social protection centers as well as to the pre-school, primary school pupils at the remote areas of 63 provinces across the country. The amount of milk is supposed to be sufficient for them to drink in 3 consecutive months.
