Sr Manager, Strategic Planning
About us

The Strategy & Innovation Office is tasked with the mission to re-invent the way we do business and serve customers. It requires strong critical and analytical thinking to challenge and create solutions across our core capabilities: from agricultural, manufacturing, supply chain to sales, marketing, and go-to-market activities.

We are looking for the next generation of strategic thinkers who are obsessed about consumer, food and wellness, and technology. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, financial modelling and business planning, investment planning, long/mid/short-term planning and execution. This individual has a laser-sharp focus on scalability, productivity, and profitability to execute on the core priorities. You will gather and analyze information, formulate and test hypotheses, and develop, communicate, and implement recommendations that touch our suppliers, partners, employees, and consumers. This role will report to the Head of Strategy & Innovation Office.

1. 6 Month Expectations

• Maintain long-range and strategic planning process by providing research, analysis, and recommendations to ensure growth

• Align long-term corporate strategy with business unit strategy

• Establish vision, strategy, and program to decompose corporate strategy into meaningful initiatives across our value chain, from agricultural, processing, manufacturing to distribution to end consumers

• Design and lead planning processes, including near/medium/long-term planning and associated comms or milestones, for your business area to enable leadership to make strategic decisions

• Create roadmap for implementation of specific projects across domains

• Identify and prioritize a roadmap to deliver those changes

• Identify the trends in our data that aren’t immediately apparent, amplify them across teams, and solve the problems we identify

• Collaborate with functional heads to establish KPIs and measure progress and reporting
 
2. 12+ Month Expectations
 
• Lead all discussions and negotiations with internal and external stakeholders to implement those programs and drive them to completion

• Support development of business model innovation strategy

• Identify, prioritize, and implement key strategic projects to further accelerate organic growth

• Manage and lead all aspects of strategy initiatives; planning, designing, deal execution and integration

• Expand business relationships and partnerships with industry leaders.

• Develop relationship with cross-functional stakeholders across the organization to ensure alignment and implementation of initiatives.

• Undertake tactical risk modeling and scenario planning for business-critical decisions to support business development and to identify and mitigate risk in line with the risk appetite

• Build and manage strategic planning capabilities for all internal functions
 
3. Basic Qualifications
 
• Bachelor’s Degree

• 10-15+ years of experience in a technology or consumer company

• Strong financial, quantitative and analytical acumen/skills; producing fact-based, logical hypothesis and scenarios with well-thought-out conclusions

• Demonstrated aptitude for analytics

• Proven record of leadership and change management

• Ability to influence stakeholders

• Skills to communicate complex ideas effectively

 
4. Preferred Qualifications
 
• MBA

• Strategic Management roles in similar domains

• Consulting backgrounds
