Job Summary:

Responsible to the Livestock Department Manager for the following activities:

  • Prepare reports on calf and cow herd increases/decreases for the Department Head.

  • Review and verify processes related to herd size changes.

  • Provide abnormal herd data alerts to the Department Head and relevant departments (Livestock, Veterinary, Reproduction).

  • Supply herd data to the Department Head and other departments for planning or evaluation purposes as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in annual planning and goal setting for the Livestock Department, including cost and operational plans.

  • Supervise and provide technical support for herd management activities at subsidiaries and farms.

  • Develop synchronized management plans to improve the efficiency of herd management operations at subsidiaries and farms.

  • Assist in developing regulations, procedures, and work instructions related to herd management for subsidiaries and farms.

  • Review herd reports and monthly reports from herd managers at subsidiaries and farms.

  • Organize training sessions for herd management staff at subsidiaries and farms.

  • Prepare plans and reports related to the calf and cow herd as requested by direct management.

  • Develop work plans and report work results to direct management.

  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by superiors.

Job Requirements

Education & Major:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Medicine, Veterinary Pharmaceuticals, Agriculture, or related fields.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in industrial-scale dairy farms.

Professional Knowledge & Skills:

  • Solid knowledge of dairy cow physiology and dairy farming practices.

  • Familiarity with herd management software.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).

  • Strong skills in data synthesis and analysis of professional dairy herd reports.

Other Requirements:

  • Basic English communication skills; able to read and translate technical documents in Animal Husbandry and Veterinary fields.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to conduct training or provide guidance on herd management software.

  • Basic knowledge of ISO standards.
