We are looking for an ETL Engineer responsible for building, operating, and standardizing the company's entire data pipeline system. The role focuses on implementing logic provided by Data Analysts/Business Analysts, optimizing performance, and managing pipeline lifecycle, without changing business logic, but can propose appropriate improvements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Receive business requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and design corresponding pipelines.
  • Build ETL/ELT pipelines (SQL/DBT/Airflow or equivalent tools).
  • Monitor, operate, troubleshoot, and ensure pipelines run stably daily.
  • Review, standardize, and maintain existing pipelines according to best practices and common data architecture.
  • Act as owner of the entire pipeline system: manage lifecycle, quality, consistency, and data reliability.
  • Optimize query and pipeline performance (partitioning, incremental load, scheduling…).
  • Ensure data quality: testing, freshness, completeness, and error detection.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineer/Platform team to use monitoring, lineage, and data quality tools.
  • Propose improvements when logic causes high costs, slow performance, or data risks.


Requirements

  • Proficient in advanced SQL and query optimization.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT frameworks: DBT, Airflow, Spark, or equivalent.
  • Deep understanding of data models in DWH (staging, star schema, incremental, SCD).
  • Experience working with DWH/Lakehouse (Trino, BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, S3…).
  • Ability to understand complex pipelines and review code/pipeline quality.
  • Business analysis skills and good communication with DA/BA.
  • Experience working with BU (Business Unit) or Sales to understand business requirements.
  • Systematic thinking, careful, with continuous improvement mindset.
     

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with DBT or orchestrators (Airflow, Dagster, Prefect).
  • Understanding of pipeline monitoring, data lineage, data quality.
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD, and data product development processes.
