JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving the internal control system within manufacturing operations. Ensure the compliance, effectiveness, and efficiency of control mechanisms while contributing to risk management and continuous improvement initiatives within the assigned scope of responsibility.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Internal Control System Development and Improvement
Participate in the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the internal control system for manufacturing operations as assigned. Evaluate and adopt best practices to enhance the control framework based on Vinamilk’s operational realities.
2. Process and Control Standardization
Develop and standardize manufacturing controls, procedures, and operational activities, including but not limited to:
- Production line and labor standards management
- Production Order management
- Bill of Materials (BOM) management
- Recipe management
- Raw material Work-in-Process (WIP) management
- CIP (Clean-in-Place) process control
3. Compliance and Control Assessment
Conduct periodic and ad hoc assessments to evaluate compliance with established controls and the effectiveness of control measures.
4. Risk and Improvement Actions
Analyze assessment results and coordinate corrective and preventive actions with relevant departments based on findings from:
- Risk management reviews
- Internal audits
- External Quality Management System (QMS) assessment reports
- External auditors’ management letters
- Management directives
- Operational incidents and emerging issues
5. Review of Operational Activities and Agreements
Review operational records and transactions.
Participate in drafting and reviewing contracts, agreements, and commitments entered into by the Company.
6. Process Control and Compliance Enhancement
Participate in designing control and compliance processes and improving operational procedures across departments and functions within the control scope, ensuring that processes are practical, streamlined, and contain all necessary control checkpoints.
7. Training and Capability Building
Implement training programs related to manufacturing operations for both the department and the company.
8. Risk Management Support
Coordinate the implementation of risk management activities related to the control function.
9. Budget Planning and Monitoring
Support the Department Manager in planning, monitoring, and reporting departmental costs and expenses.
10. Department Work Planning
Collaborate with the Department Manager in developing and proposing departmental work plans, including approaches, manpower requirements, timelines, and budgets.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (full-time program) in one of the following disciplines preferred:
- Chemical Engineering
- Food Technology/Food Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Mechatronics Engineering
- Industrial Management
- English communication skills (listening and speaking) at a minimum equivalent to TOEIC 600.
2. Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in Manufacturing, Automation, Quality Management, and Food Safety Management.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a Team Leader position or higher, or an equivalent role.
- Experience in large-scale manufacturing companies and/or FMCG companies is preferred.
- Hands-on experience in TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) implementation in manufacturing plants is an advantage.
3. Technical Knowledge & Skills
- Strong practical understanding of manufacturing operations management, with hands-on factory experience involving production lines, machinery, equipment, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to identify key control points within operational processes.
- Experience in implementing internal control systems and directly participating in the design, improvement, and deployment of manufacturing control mechanisms.
- Experience working with ERP/SAP systems.
- Thorough understanding of operational performance metrics for production lines, departments, and factories, including OEE, energy consumption, production standards, and related KPIs.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data to generate insights and recommendations.
- Experience participating in or leading Continuous Improvement initiatives such as LEAN Manufacturing or TPM.
- Experience implementing and maintaining management systems such as ISO, FSSC, or similar standards.
- Strong process design and standardization capabilities aligned with operational realities.
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA) skills.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
- Logical thinking, critical thinking, proactive mindset, and ability to work independently.
4. Other Requirements
- Strong continuous improvement and innovation mindset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; experience with BI tools and dashboards is preferred.
- Willingness to travel to manufacturing plants located in different provinces and cities.
