The Software Development team within the Strategy & Innovation Office is searching for an experienced Software engineer (Senior Backend) to join our team. You will generate insights that will guide product (physical and tech) development and operational excellence and for our customers. Software will the core of what we do, and your work will have a direct impact on decision making and strategy for our team. You will drive the technology enablement vision, strategy, and delivery of infrastructure and applications that touch our suppliers, partners, employees, and consumers.

• Build and enhance flagship product, Rising Higher, on iOS and Android using Google's Flutter platform

• Play the role of a full-stack engineer and write some backend business logic as well

• Create unit tests and work with the QA team to ensure high quality

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Development, and Customer Success teams to incorporate new features in the app

• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior engineers

• Participate in operating the service and meeting out SLA

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science from a reputable college

• 7+ years of industry experience

• 3+ years of experience working on commercial, consumer-facing apps for iOS / Android / Flutter / Cordova / PhoneGap (100,000+ users with at least 100+ users active in Realtime)

• Excellent knowledge of Swift/Objective-C & Javascript/Typescript.

• Bonus points for Java & Python.

• Excellent grasp of algorithms and data structures

• Experience working with large scale SaaS offerings

• Experience with public clouds (GCP/ AWS/ Azure). GCP preferred.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Google Firebase

• Experience with other backend technologies such as Kafka, Cassandra/ MongoDB, ElasticSearch, S3, BigQuery/ Redshift, etc.

• Experience working in FMCG

• Knowledge of HIPAA or other regulatory standards

• Solid fundamental knowledge in Computer Science
