Positive effects of probiotics on children’s immune system

Children's immune system is not yet developed as Adults', which makes children vulnerable to attacks of bacteria and viruses, etc. In 2014 intestinal tract is one of the important parts of the immune system. 70% of immune cells stay in the intestinal tract.

Current health issues in the world and in Vietnam show that digestion and immunity related diseases have increased in young children.

Research results

2014, National Institute of Nutrition conducted a study on the effects of Vinamilk Probi drinking yogurt fortified with 13 billion beneficial bacteria probiotics on 24-27 months old children’s nutrition, digestion and immunity. The findings showed that children who drank Vinamilk Probi drinking yogurt:

Reduced incidence of upper respiratory tract diseases, in particular, the rate of cough, fever, allergies and upper respiratory infections decreased within 3 months.

The number of children with cough, fever, allergic reactions were monitored and recorded during the intervention.
